How Does a Development Day Work?
After building heaps of websites both big and small, we’ve found a more collaborative and efficient way to build websites for our clients. No more emailing back and forth for months. Just your website – in a single development day.
On Skype, or by phone, we discuss your goals. What action do you want your visitor to take? We identify your target audience and the services you offer. We look at websites you like and explore designs that will accurately reflect you. Answering our Development Day questionnaire is an important step; it helps us identify whether we’re the right fit for your project.
Before we build your top-notch website, we need to make sure we have everything we need. You’ll need to gather your written content, imagery, testimonials and materials (don’t worry, we’ll provide you with a detailed checklist). This is an important step; it allows us to make the most of your Development Day. We certainly don’t want to waste time searching for passwords. Let’s get organized!
The Development Day
Your office or ours? We love to host and have everything you’ll need for a successful day. However, we also love seeing your space and understanding the ins and outs of what you do. Your call, we’re easy like that!
We carefully craft your site using your content, brand colours, and the overall “look and feel” we discussed during the discovery phase. The best part? By working collaboratively, you’re able to provide instant feedback throughout the day.
After we’ve worked with your assets and spent the day building your new website, we make final adjustments to ensure it looks as it should across devices. After our last review, we launch your site by pointing your domain to our servers! Once launched, websites need 24-48 hours to propagate (read: show up) around the globe (that’s not our fault; that’s just how the internet works). We do, however, take this opportunity to make sure your site looks solid on social. You know us – we love dotting the ‘I’s and crossing the ‘T’s!
